MBLAQ on their goals this year!

“Well, first we have 12 performances lined up for Japan and our Asia Tour. We’ve released a single in Japan before but we would be there to promote for maybe a week max. So we want to promote more in Japan and spend more time there. We’re so grateful that the Japanese fans give us so much support and love us for who we are, even though we haven’t dont much for them. I feel like we are united under the name of K-pop (Seungho).” “I would like to debut in the Philippines. I used to live there, so I think I would be comfortable promoting there. I would also be able to see my friends. But it’s weird, it’s hard to get work there. I would also like to go to Europe. How awesome would it be to hold an independent MBLAQ concert there (laughs) (Thunder).” -You released an album just in time for the new year, what are your goals for 2012? “I don’t know what kind of image we have now, but what we want is to never disappoint when we are on stage and to do our best. I want our fans to be able to trust us. We would also like for all of us to be healthy and promote well together as a team. Lee Joon is really sick with the flu right now and work is really hard for him (Mir).” -Lee Joon, this is your year, the year of the Dragon. Any special goals or plans this year? “Yes, this is my year, the year of the Dragon. The Black Dragon at that! I would like to work hard this year so that at the end, people will say, ‘This was quite the year for MBLAQ member Lee Joon’. There are a lot of things we planned for this year, and we will carry them out, one by one. I am confident that we will not disappoint our fans (Lee Joon).” -And any specific goals for MBLAQ as a whole? “We want to work hard to be #1. But to do that, we all need to be healthy and not lose our focus. Kim Hyun Joong City Conquest is a drama that is originally written in comics by Shin Hyung Bin. The drama will look into the elements of humanism. The drama is produced by Baek Jin-dong. It will be shot in locations in some places in the United States, China, Japan, Singapore and more. It’s an action-packed movie with side notes of romance. According to producer Baek Jin-dong, the drama has received many requests from international buyers. He plans to make this drama a great success just like the other drama he has produced in the past. Google Hosts K-pop Concert

The K-pop wave continues to spread around the world. A proof to this is the upcoming private K-pop concert to be hosted by Google. The private concert will be held in their headquarters in California on May 21. Among the K-pop artists expected to perform are Super Junior, Wonder Girls, KARA, SISTAR, TVXQ, MBLAQ, BEAST and more. Each K-pop performance will be shown to the public through the YouTube channel of Google. Korean Wave This is great news to all the fans because it will give them the chance to take a glimpse on the performances of their favorite K-pop groups. This will be the first time big companies like Google to turn their attention to the K-pop phenomenon. According to a representative, the event will open doors to the K-pop artists. This will be a two-day affair since another K-pop concert will be held prior to May 21. The K-pop groups will be performing in Honda Center on the 20th of May. Jay Park Visits Philippines

y Park surprised his Filipino fans as he visited the Philippines for a series of performances, mall tours and album signing. He started the event on May 4 in front of his fans at the Eastwood Mall Open Park in Manila. He continued with the tour and performed at the Venice Piazza in Taguig last May 5. He also performed in Lucky Chinatown on May 6. The mall tours showcased Jay Park’s talent as a singer and song writer. The K-pop star poured out his soul as he performed some of his old and new songs. Fans cheered and danced to beat of his new album called New Breed. Jay Park feels grateful for the support and love of his Filipino fans. He mentions that the Filipino fans showed great interest for his new album. He also thanked them for their hospitality. The New Breed album includes 15 tracks from hip hop, R&B, dance and more. According to the K-pop star, now that he is on a solo career he has more freedom to experiment with his craft. He is able to channel all his artistic talent through singing and song writing for his album. He now controls what goes into the album and who he collaborates with. In the New Breed album he worked with producer Rob Knox, Dynamic Duo, Cha Cha Malone, Dok2 and other artists. The songs vary from happy to sad tunes which makes the album very versatile. His favorite song from the album are Girlfriend, Know Your Name and I Got Your Back. Jay Park The album was released in February and hit the top list on the iTunes chart. The album took the top spot in the iTunes charts in the US, Canada, France and Japan. The album debuted at the 4th spot in the World Albums chart and landed a spot on the Billboard charts. In another news, the K-pop singer was appointed as the honorary ambassador of the B-boy competition called “R-16 Korea 2012″. The competition was sponsored by the Korea Tourism Organization. Jay Park was chosen by the Korea Tourism Organization because he is a great b-boy dancer who is know a Hallyu star. He suits the role as an ambassador who will promote the b-boy movement. He also made a headline in the Korean media when his image was featured in an electronic billboard in Times Square. The billboard mentioned that Jay Park will make make an appearance at the Times Square in New York.
